Postřelmov
Postřelmov () is a municipality and village in Šumperk District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,000 inhabitants. Geography Postřelmov is located about southwest of Šumperk and northwest of Olomouc. It lies in the Mohelnice Depression lowland. It is situated at the confluence of the rivers Morava and Desná. History The first written mention of Postřelmov is from 1349. In the 15th century, the largest pond in Moravia with an area of was built here, but only a part of the embankment has survived to this day. For centuries, Postřelmov was an agricultural village, but at the end of the 19th century, it was industrialised. Demographics Transport Postřelmov is located on the railway lines Brno–Šumperk and Nezamyslice– Kouty nad Desnou. Sights The main landmark of Postřelmov is the Church of Saint Matthew. Desná (Morava)
The Desná (called Divoká Desná upstream; ) is a river in the Czech Republic, a left tributary of the Morava River. It flows through the Olomouc Region. It is long. Etymology The Old Czech adjective ''desná'' meant 'right'. Because people went upstream when settling the landscape, the rivers with this name flowed as if from the right side (although they are actually left-side tributaries). On the upper course, until its confluence with the Hučivá Desná creek, the river is also called Divoká Desná.
