''Squad 44'' (formerly ''Post Scriptum'') is a 2018 tactical first-person shooter video game developed by the Canadian studio Offworld Industries alongside the British studio Mercury Arts, and published by Offworld Industries. It is set during World War II, specifically during Operation Market Garden, Operation Overlord, the Battle of France, Battle of Crete, Battle of the Bulge, and the Battle of Iwo Jima. The game features several playable factions — the United States Army, United States Marine Corps, British Army, Polish Armed Forces in the West, French Army, Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS, Australian Army, New Zealand Military Forces, Hellenic Army, and the Imperial Japanese Army — with some of them having multiple different playable units. Heelsum
Heelsum is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Renkum, west of Arnhem.''ANWB Topografische Atlas Nederland'', Topografische Dienst and ANWB, 2005. Part of the Battle of Arnhem was fought in and around Heelsum. The initial British landings were carried out just north of the village. History The village was first mentioned around 1160 as in Helessem, and means "settlement of Hele (person)". Helsum is an ''esdorp'' which developed in the Middle Ages near the brook Heelsumse beek. It became a separate parish in 1517. The Dutch Reformed church was built in 1517 by the lady of the castle Margaretha van Homoet. It was expanded in 1859. The Catholic community wanted an own church as well. On 1 April 1950 they announced plans to build a church, however, the municipality preferred villas at the location. Driel
Driel is a village in the municipality of Overbetuwe, approximately four kilometers southwest of Arnhem on the south bank of the Rhine, in the Netherlands. History On 21 September 1944, Driel was the drop zone of the Polish 1st Independent Parachute Brigade which participated in Operation Market Garden. The brigade was under the command of Major General Sosabowski. After World War II, in the 1960s, the Polish monument was placed at the 'Polish Square' (, ). A nearby plaque commemorates the ninety-four Polish soldiers who fell nearby.
