Porin Ässät
Porin Ässät ry is a sports club based in Pori, Finland. The club's only programs are ice hockey and esports, but it used to have an association football program. Porin Ässät ry operates an ice hockey team in the Finnish Elite League. Porin Ässät ry also has junior teams for all age groups from U7 to U20. Porin Ässät ry also operate a women's ice hockey school and the girl's junior ice hockey department while also operating a skating school. Sports Men's ice hockey Ässät's ice hockey department started in 1967 when two local clubs, RU-38 and Karhut, merged. ELiiga
eLiiga was a Finnish esports league that was played in the NHL video game series. The teams competing in the tournament were real ice hockey teams that play in the Liiga, the top-tier league of Finland. The league was hosted by Liiga and Telia. Only the top-eight teams could make it into the playoffs. The playoffs were played in a best-of-three series, but the final was played in a best-of-five series. Seasons 2020 eLiiga The first eLiiga season was played from November 4th to December 13th in 2020. Tappara won the regular season and the playoffs. Tappara beat Jukurit 3-2 in the final series on 13 November. 2021–2022 eLiiga The second eLiiga season was played from December 3rd 2021 to 25th February 2022. The championship was won by HC TPS. Mestaruussarja (Championship series) was the top division of Finnish football from 1930 to 1989. It was replaced by Veikkausliiga in 1990. In 1930 league format was used for the first time to decide the Finnish champion. Before that (1908-1929) the championship was decided by cup competition. The league was dominated by clubs from Helsinki, Turku and Vyborg. The first champion was HIFK Footboll from Helsinki.
