Pokemón
Pokemón was a youth subculture that emerged among Chile's young population in the mid-2000s and experienced a decline by late 2009, ultimately becoming extinct by 2012. Recognizable by their angular and pressed hairstyles reminiscent of characters from the Japanese franchise Pokémon, Pokemones were one of the largest and most well-known urban tribes in the country. Although Pokemones shared certain similarities in dress with other urban tribes like otaku and emo, they differed in their interests and musical preferences. Pokemón was a fusion of otaku and flaite subcultures but did not actively follow anime like otaku or share the musical tastes of flaite. Alongside borrowing elements from emo, such as sideswept bangs, Pokemones also incorporated aspects of punk and the local " hardcore" subculture. Fotolog.com (originally Fotolog.net) was a social network for sharing primarily photos. The site claimed that its vision was to build a "good" social network which prioritizes the well-being of users. The site only allowed all members of the community to post once per day, which, according to the site, was aimed to end the overuse of social networking today and the meaningless consumption of content. In 2020 the Fotolog.com domain name was turned into an SEO spam blog. History Launched in May 2002, the Fotolog site formerly generated over 3 billion page views, and it received over 20 million unique visitors each month. In 2007, Fotolog.com was in the list of the top 20 busiest websites in the Alexa global site rankings. The scene subculture is a youth subculture that emerged during the early 2000s in the United States from the pre-existing emo subculture. The subculture became popular with adolescents from the mid-2000s to early 2010s. Members of the scene subculture are referred to as scene kids, trendies, or scenesters. Scene fashion consists of skinny jeans, bright colored clothing, a signature hairstyle consisting of straight, flat hair with long fringes covering their forehead, and bright colored hair dye. Music genres associated with the scene subculture include metalcore, crunkcore, deathcore, electronic music, and pop punk. Reggaeton
Reggaeton (, ), also known as reggaetón and reguetón (), is a music style that originated in Panama during the late 1980s. It was later popularized in Puerto Rico. It has evolved from dancehall and has been influenced by American hip hop, Latin American, and Caribbean music. Vocals include rapping and singing, typically in Spanish. Reggaeton is regarded as one of the most popular music genres in the Spanish-speaking Caribbean, including Puerto Rico, Panama, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Colombia, and Venezuela.
