Pogoń Szczecin II is a Polish football team, which serves as the reserve side of Pogoń Szczecin. They compete in the III liga, the fourth division of Polish football. In recent years, they participated in the Polish Cup in the 2001–02, 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons. III Liga
III liga (Trzecia liga), currently named Betclic III liga due to its sponsorship by Betclic, is a Polish football league that sits in the fourth tier of the Polish football league system. Until the end of the 2007–08 season, III liga referred to a league at the third tier (now called II liga) but this was changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. Groups of III liga are divided based on administrative division of Poland. Top teams of III liga are promoted to II liga and bottom teams are relegated to IV liga. 2024–25 III Liga
The 2024–25 III liga (also known as Betclic III liga for sponsorship reasons) is the 17th season of the fourth tier domestic division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 2008 under its current title ( III liga) and the 8th season under its current league division format. The league is operated by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). The competition is contested by 72 clubs split geographically across 4 groups of 18 teams, with the winners of each group gaining promotion to the II liga. The season is played in a round-robin tournament. It began in August 2024 and will conclude in June 2025. The teams include semi-professional clubs (although a few are professional) and the reserve teams of professional clubs. From this season onwards, promotion/relegation play-offs will be played, with two second-placed teams facing teams placed 13th and 14th from the II liga. Pogoń Szczecin Spółka Akcyjna, commonly referred to as Pogoń Szczecin (), is a Polish professional football club based in Szczecin, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, which plays in the Ekstraklasa, the top tier of the national football league system. The Polish Cup in Association football, football ( ) is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout football competition for Polish football club (association football), football clubs, held continuously since 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( ). The 2022–23 Polish Cup was the 69th season of the annual Polish football knockout tournament. It began on 26 July 2022 with the first matches of the preliminary round and ended with the final on 2 May 2023. 2023–24 Polish Cup
The 2023–24 Polish Cup ( ) was the 70th season of the annual Polish football knockout tournament. The competition began on 2 August 2023 with the preliminary round the first of seven rounds and ended on 2 May 2024 with the final match at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw. The Polish Cup is considered the second-most important club title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa championship. The competition is organised by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). IV Liga
IV liga (Czwarta liga) is the fifth level of the Polish football league system. The current structure of IV liga was created in the 2000–01 season after introducing the new administrative division of Poland. Groups consist most often of 18 clubs, which each group winner earning promotion to III liga. The bottom clubs are relegated to Liga okręgowa or V liga (depending on the voivodeship). V Liga
V liga represents the sixth level of the Polish football hierarchy. Teams promoted from V liga move up to IV liga, whilst relegated teams descend to the regional league.
