Pogoń Oleśnica
Pogoń Oleśnica is a Polish multi-sports club based in Oleśnica. It was founded in 1945. The team's official colors are white, blue and amaranth red. The club is best known for their football team that played at the second level of Polish association football during the 1994–95 season. History The club was established on 12 May 1945 and is, therefore, the oldest Polish sports club in Lower Silesia. Originally called ''Kolejarz'', the current name was adopted after a merger with ''Włókniarz'' by the end of 1955. League history In 1983, the Pogoń football team was promoted to the third division, where the club spent the next 6 seasons. Pogoń was relegated in 1989 but the team won promotion back to the third level one year later. In 1994, the club finished first in the third division winning promotion to the II liga. Klasa A represents the seventh level of the Polish football league system, Polish football hierarchy. Teams promoted from Klasa A move up to the liga okręgowa, whilst relegated teams descend to the Klasa B leagues. The Polish Cup in Association football, football ( ) is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout football competition for Polish football club (association football), football clubs, held continuously since 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( ). IV Liga
IV liga (Czwarta liga) is the fifth level of the Polish football league system. The current structure of IV liga was created in the 2000–01 season after introducing the new administrative division of Poland. Groups consist most often of 18 clubs, which each group winner earning promotion to III liga. The bottom clubs are relegated to Liga okręgowa or V liga (depending on the voivodeship). Until the end of the 2007–08 season, IV liga was the fourth tier of league system, but this was changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the highest level of football league in Poland.
