Plaza Monumental Román Eduardo Sandia, also known as the Plaza de toros de Mérida, is a bullring in the city of Mérida, Mérida, Mérida, Venezuela. It is the second largest venue for large scale cultural and artistic events in the city after the Estadio Metropolitano de Mérida, Estadio Olímpico Metropolitano and the location for bullfighting, bullfights of the Feria del Sol (Mérida), Feria Internacional del Sol. The plaza was inaugurated in 1967 as a venue for various events of Feria del Sol (Mérida), Ferias del Sol, and has a capacity of 16,000 spectators. Evel Antonio Jiménez Centeno, known in the artistic world as Jean Carlos Centeno (born November 11 in Cabimas, Zulia) is a Colombian-Venezuelan singer and composer of vallenato, bolero and salsa. Jorge Celedón also known as Jorgito Celedón is a Colombian musician and singer of vallenato music. Celedón was one of the backup singers for the vallenato group Binomio de Oro de America who joined after the death of Rafael Orozco Maestre.
