"Players" is a song by Japanese duo Yoasobi. It was released as a single on March 21, 2025, through Echoes and Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Based on "a game you want to erase your memory of and play again" stories collected from users via X hashtag #MemoryOfPlay, the song is used to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first PlayStation release. Background and release On December 3, 2024, Yoasobi and PlayStation announced a collaboration project to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the home video game console's first release, called Project: Memory Card. The duo would perform a song based on stories about "a game you want to erase your memory of and play again" to "save PlayStation memories in Yoasobi's song" submitted by users via X's hashtag #MemoryOfPlay until January 31, 2025. Yoasobi is a Japanese pop duo formed in 2019. It consists of musician and record producer Ayase (music producer), Ayase and singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta, under the moniker Ikura. With the slogan "novel into music", the duo originally released Yoasobi discography, songs based on selected Fiction, fictional stories posted on , a social media website for creative writing operated by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. She is best known as the vocalist of the duo Yoasobi with producer Ayase, under the stage name Ikura, and a former member of the cover group . Rohm Theatre Kyoto
Rohm Theatre Kyoto, officially known as Kyoto Kaikan, is a concert hall and performance venue located in Kyoto, Japan. The main hall was first opened in 1960 and seated 2,005 patrons. The facility closed in 2012 and was redeveloped over a four-year period, reopening in January 2016.
