Pitsusköngäs (also spelled ''Pihtsusköngäs'', ; ), also known as the "Niagara of Finland" or the "King of Finnish waterfalls" is the largest waterfall in all of Finland. Its maximum height is . It is located in the Käsivarsi Wilderness Area, about from the village Kilpisjärvi within the municipality of Enontekiö. It is accessible by following the Nordkalottleden Trail, an 800 kilometer hiking route than runs through Finland, Sweden and Norway. Nordkalottleden Trail
Nordkalottruta or Arctic Trail (also: ; ) is a marked hiking trail in the Arctic region of the Nordic countries. It has a total length of and lies along the border of Norway, Sweden and Finland. It begins at Kautokeino (located in Finnmark, Northern Norway) and of the trail lies in Norway, in Sweden and in Finland. The trail crosses international borders 15 times and ends in the south in Sulitjelma (Norway) or alternately Kvikkjokk (Sweden). The trail was originally planned in 1977. It passes through Øvre Dividal National Park, Reisa National Park, Abisko National Park and Padjelanta National Park as well as the Sulitjelmafjellet and Narvikfjell regions. Enontekiö
Enontekiö (; ; ; ; ) is a municipality in the Finnish part of Lapland with approximately inhabitants. It is situated in the outermost northwest of the country and occupies a large and very sparsely populated area of about between the Swedish and Norwegian border. Finland's highest point, the Halti fell, with a height of above the mean sea level, is situated in the north of Enontekiö. Kilpisjärvi (; ) is a village in the municipality of Enontekiö, Lapland, Finland. It is located in Finland's northwestern "arm" near the northwesternmost point of the country. Although Kilpisjärvi is one of the largest villages in Enontekiö, it is still quite small. In 2000 its population was recorded as 114. Like most Sami villages, Kilpisjärvi is built mainly around one major road, ''Käsivarrentie'', or the "Arm Road" and ''Neljäntuulentie'', or the "Four Winds' Road" — also known as E8.
