Pista de Atletismo Darwin Piñeyrúa is a running track in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is a major venue for events organized by the Uruguayan Athletics Confederation. It is situated in the Parque Batlle near Estadio Centenario. It is named after Uruguayan athlete Darwin Piñeyrúa. Running Track
An all-weather running track is a rubberized, artificial running surface for track and field athletics. It provides a consistent surface for competitors to test their athletic ability unencumbered by adverse weather conditions. Historically, various forms of dirt, rocks, sand, and crushed cinders were used. Many examples of these varieties of track still exist worldwide. The Uruguayan Athletics Confederation (CAU; ''Confederación Atlética del Uruguay'') is the governing body for the sport of athletics in Uruguay. As of 2019, Its president is Marcos Melazzi.
