Pisces is the name of different fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The original Pisces first appeared in '' Avengers'' #72 (January 1970), and was created by Roy Thomas and Sal Buscema. The character subsequently appears in ''Avengers'' #120-123 (February–May 1974), ''Ghost Rider'' #7 (August 1974), ''Iron Man'' #184 (July 1984), and ''West Coast Avengers'' #26 (November 1987), in which he is killed. An American comic book is a thin periodical literature originating in the United States, commonly between 24 and 64 pages, containing comics. While the form originated in 1933, American comic books first gained popularity after the 1938 publication of ''Action Comics'', which included the debut of the superhero Superman. This was followed by a superhero boom that lasted until the end of World War II. After the war, while superheroes were marginalized, the comic book industry rapidly expanded and genres such as horror, crime, science fiction and romance became popular. Tigra (Greer Grant Nelson) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Roy Thomas and artist Wally Wood (Marie Severin was then brought in to help layout the art), with her early adventures written by Linda Fite, the character first appeared as the superpowered and gadget-wielding crime fighter the Cat in ''The Claws of the Cat'' #1 (November 1972). It is built and worn by billionaire Tony Stark when he assumes the identity of the superhero Iron Man. Y'Garon Y'Garon is a demon who has clashed with Marada the She-Wolf and Dracula. Yandroth Yandroth was the humanoid Scientist Supreme of the " otherdimensional" planet "Yann" and a would-be-conqueror who, with his robot Voltorg, has fought Doctor Strange as a counterpart to the latter's title of Sorcerer Supreme. Doctor Strange defeats Yandroth, sending him to seemingly fall forever through an alternate dimension, the Dimension of Dreams.
