Pirəkəşkül
Perekeshkul (also, Perekeşkül, Pirəkəşkül, Perekeshkul’, Perekischkjul, Perekishkyul’, and Pirekeshkyul’) is a village in the Absheron Rayon of Azerbaijan. The village forms part of the municipality of Pirəkəşkül-Qobustan. Perekeshkul is the site of a new missile base, opened on June 11, 2018, by President Ilham Aliyev. The base houses Polonez-M and LORA LoRa (from "long range", sometimes abbreviated as "LR") is a physical proprietary radio communication technique. Absheron Rayon
Absheron District () is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. Located in the east of the country, it belongs to the Absheron-Khizi Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Khizi, Gobustan, Baku, Hajigabul, Salyan, and the city of Sumgait. Its capital and largest city is Khyrdalan. As of 2020, the district had a population of 214,100. Although the district shares the same name as the Absheron Peninsula, the area covered by the district is not conterminous, being further west and mostly inland. LORA (missile)
LORA (LOng Range Artillery) is a theater quasi-ballistic missile developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). Development LORA began development in 2002. The missile has a range of and a CEP of when using a combination of GPS and TV for terminal guidance. It can be ship-launched from inside of a standard Intermodal container.
