Piotr Serafin
Piotr Arkadiusz Serafin (; born 12 January 1974) is a Polish politician and lawyer who has served as European Commissioner, European Commissioner for Budget and Administration since December 2024. Between 2007–2008, he served as Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Poland), Undersecretary of State for European Integration and between 2012–2014 as Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Poland), Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs. Early life and education Serafin graduated in economics at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and in law at the University of Warsaw. He was a postgraduate student of European integration at the University of Sussex. Career Serafin began his professional career at the Office of the Committee for European Integration (UKIE) in 1998. Sulęcin
Sulęcin (; ) is a town in western Poland with 10,117 inhabitants (2019), the capital of Sulecin County, since 1999 in Lubusz Voivodeship. Geography Sulęcin is located in the center of Lubusz Voivodeship (Lubuskie province), by the river Postomia, tributary of the Warta River, in the historical Lubusz Land. The surrounding landscape is formed by many hillocks on the plateau of Lubusz. The highest of them is the Bukowiec (227 m). The closest big city is Gorzów Wielkopolski (). Janusz Antoni Lewandowski (; born 13 June 1951) is a Polish politician and economist belonging to the Gdańsk liberals group, and a former member of the European Parliament (elected on 13 June 2004), Chairman of the Committee on Budgets. On 27 November 2009 he obtained the post of Budget and Financial Programming Commissioner of the European Commission and is affiliated to the European People's Party (EPP). The Phare programme is one of the three pre-accession instruments financed by the European Union to assist the applicant countries of Central and Eastern Europe in their preparations for joining the European Union.
