Pingat Hassanal Bolkiah Sultan
The Pingat Hassanal Bolkiah Sultan (Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Medal) is an honorary medal of Brunei. The award is subdivided into two classes: the first class ''Darjah Pertama'' and the second class ''Darjah Kedua''. The Sultan was receptive to the proposal and expressed his excitement when a former classmate of his from Class '64 of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College proposed a reunion supper. The Sultan personally agreed to present each of his old pupils with the PHBS at the banquet. Description The first class medal included a small badge that matched a silver-gilt and enamel item. Sultan Of Brunei
The Sultan of Brunei is the monarchical head of state of Brunei and head of government in his capacity as prime minister of Brunei. Since independence from the British in 1984, only one sultan has reigned, though the royal institution dates back to the 14th century. Pengiran Anak Besar
Pengiran Anak Hajah Besar (24 September 1928 – 16 October 2016) was a member of the royal family as the wife of Pengiran Anak Mohammad Alam and the mother of Pengiran Anak Saleha, the queen consort of Hassanal Bolkiah, the 29th Sultan of Brunei. Pengiran Jaya bin Pengiran Haji Rajid (1925 – 18 October 2009) was a Bruneian diplomat and noble police officer who served as the first Bumiputera (Brunei), ''bumiputera'' (local) Commissioner of Police (Brunei), commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) from 197 to 1991. Pengiran Ibnu Basit bin Pengiran Haji Apong (born 20 January 1942) is a Bruneian military officer and noble politician. He served as the first local commanding officer of the Boat Section, the predecessor to the Royal Brunei Navy, from 1965 to 1966. Pengiran Bahrin bin Pengiran Haji Abbas (born July 1946) is a magistrate and noble politician in the government of Brunei. He previously served as the first minister of communications from 1984 to 1986, the first minister of law from 1984 to 1998, and as Brunei's fourth attorney general from 1978 to 1998. Pengiran Asmalee bin Pengiran Ahmad (born 18 May 1941) is a Bruneian artist and retired diplomat who formerly held the position of ambassador of Brunei to China from 2001 to 2002, and Myanmar from 1997 to 2001. The Brunei History Centre (PSB; ) is a government institution which conducts research, documentation, publication and dissemination on matters pertaining to the history of Brunei. Pengiran Abu Bakar bin Pengiran Umar (9 September 1906 – 11 June 1985) was a Bruneian nobleman, civil servant, and politician who served as the fifth Speaker of the Legislative Council of Brunei. Pengiran Abdul Momin bin Pengiran Othman (9 March 1923 – 9 March 2006) was a diplomat, educator, and noble politician renowned for his distinguished career, which included serving as the confidential clerk to Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III in 1961, private and confidential secretary to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah from 1968 to 1992, and ambassador of Brunei to Indonesia from 1993 to 2001.
