Pine Grove is a census-designated place located in Ferry County, Washington, United States. Demographics In 2010, it had a population of 145. 68 of the inhabitants were male, and 77 were female. Geography Pine Grove is located in northwestern Ferry County at coordinates 48°38′31″N 118°40′59″W. It is east of Republic, the county seat, at the intersection of State Routes 20 and 21. Route 20 leads east across Sherman Pass to Kettle Falls, while Route 21 leads north to Curlew and to the Canadian border. Ferry County is a county located on the northern border of the U.S. state of Washington. As of the 2020 census, the population was 7,178, making it the fourth-least populous county in Washington. The county seat and largest city is Republic. The county was created out of Stevens County in February 1899 and is named for Elisha P. Ferry, the state's first governor. Republic is a city in Ferry County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,073 at the 2010 census, a 12.5% increase over the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Ferry County. It was the largest mining camp in the Republic Mining District, and home to the "Hot Air Line" railway. Geography Republic is located at (48.648159, −118.734947). State Route 21 (SR 21) is a long state highway in the U.S. state of Washington that traverses four counties: Franklin, Adams, Lincoln and Ferry. The highway extends from an intersection with in Kahlotus north through Lind, Odessa, Clark, Keller, Republic and Curlew before becoming (BC 41) at the Canada–US border in Danville. Kettle Falls is a city in Stevens County, Washington, United States, named for the nearby Kettle Falls on the Kettle River. The city itself is located on the Colville River immediately upstream from its confluence with the Columbia River. Curlew, Washington
Curlew is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in northwestern Ferry County, Washington, United States, between Malo and Danville on State Route 21. The BNSF Railway ran through the town. The historic Ansorge Hotel is located in Curlew. As of the 2010 census, the population of the community was 118. The settlement is named for the curlew birds once prevalent in the area. Geography Curlew is located at the confluence of Long Alec Creek and the Kettle River. Its elevation is above sea level. Via State Route 21, it is north of Republic, the Ferry County seat, and south of the Canadian border.
