Pied à Terre is a Michelin starred French restaurant in Fitzroviain central London. The restaurant is owned by David Moore who founded the restaurant in 1991, with Richard Neat as the first head chef. Moore has contributed to television programmes such as BBC's ''The Restaurant'' and ''Masterchef''. History Pied à Terre is the longest standing independently owned Michelin starred restaurant in London. It was founded in 1991 and is still owned and run by David Moore. Head Chef Alberto Cavaliere combines classic French techniques with delicate and fresh Asian seasoning, achieving a wonderful depth of flavour in both his omnivore and plant-based menus in a fashionably elegant and sophisticated setting. AA Rosette
The AA Rosette is an award recognizing culinary excellence in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Restaurants are rated from one to five rosettes. History It was established in 1956. In January the AA would publish its ''Guide to Hotels and Restaurants in Great Britain and Ireland'', from 1967. The rosettes would be listed in this guide. Fitzrovia ( ) is a district of central London, England, near the West End. Its eastern part is in the London Borough of Camden, and the western in the City of Westminster. David Moore (Restaurateur)
David Moore (born 4 August 1964) is a restaurateur based in the United Kingdom. Biography Moore was born in County Monaghan, Ireland. He is the owner of Michelin starred restaurant Pied à Terre, situated on London's Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia. After achieving his Higher National Diploma in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management (HCIMA), Moore worked in the highly regarded The Box Tree, Ilkley in 1985 when the restaurant was of two Michelin Star status. In 1986, he took a position in Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, Great Milton, Oxon working alongside world-renowned chef Raymond Blanc.
