Phillips County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, the population was 4,530. The county seat is Holyoke. The county was named in honor of R.O. Phillips, a secretary of the Lincoln Land Company, who organized several towns in Colorado. Phillips County Courthouse (Colorado)
The Phillips County Courthouse, home of the Phillips Combined Court, located at 221 Interocean Ave. in Holyoke, Colorado was built in 1935 in Moderne style. It is significant for association with New Deal programs; the Public Works Administration built it, and it is the only surviving PWA project in the county. Colorado State Highway 59
State Highway 59 (SH 59) is a state highway in eastern Colorado. SH 59's southern terminus is at U.S. Route 40 (US 40) and US 287 in Kit Carson, and the northern terminus is at US 138 in Sedgwick. Route description SH 59 begins in the south at a junction with U.S. Highway 40 in Kit Carson. From there, the road proceeds northward for before intersecting Interstate 70 at that highway's exit 405 just south of the Seibert city limits.
