Philippe Bergé
Philippe Bergé (born 20 June 1971 in Brive-la-Gaillarde) is a French former motorcycle speedway rider, who competed in Grasstrack, Longtrack and Speedway. He is a former champion of France and earned 3 caps for the France national speedway team. Speedway career Bergé came to prominence when he reached the final of the 1993 Individual Long Track World Championship, he then reached a second longtrack final the following year. He began his British league career riding for Oxford Cheetahs during the 1996 Premier League speedway season, he was signed midway through the season but still rode 14 times for the club. In 1996, he became the champion of France and competed in his third world longtrack final at the 1996 Individual Long Track World Championship and showed enough good form during 1996 to be retained by the Cheetahs for the 1997 Premier League speedway season, where he rode 35 times and averaged above 8 and recorded a maximum score in the second leg of the Premier ... Brive-la-Gaillarde
Brive-la-Gaillarde (; Limousin dialect of ), commonly known as simply Brive, is a commune of France. It is a sub-prefecture and the largest city of the Corrèze department. It has around 46,000 inhabitants, while the population of the agglomeration was 75,579 in 2019. Although it is by far the biggest commune in Corrèze, the capital is Tulle. The 1996 Individual Long Track World Championship was the 26th edition of the FIM speedway Individual Long Track World Championship. The event was held on 8 September 1996 in Herxheim in Germany. Dimitri Bergé
Dimitri Bergé (born 5 February 1996) is a motorcycle speedway rider from France. Career Bergés' major honours include the 2009 125cc Grasstrack and the World 250cc Longtrack Champion 2012. He was a World Under-21 finalist in 2016 and 2017 and represented France in the 2018 Speedway of Nations. As well as Speedway he is an accomplished Long Track rider and won a bronze medal in the 2015 Individual Long Track World Championship. He won the first round in Herxheim, Germany and finished runner-up overall in the 2018 Individual Long Track World Championship. He was also a member of the France team who won the Team Long Track World Championship for the first time in front of their ecstatic fans in Morizes on 1 September 2018 scoring 22 of France's 54 points winning total. The British Newspaper Archive website provides access to searchable digitized archives of British and Irish newspapers. It was launched in November 2011. History The British Library's Newspapers section was based in Colindale in north London until 2013, and is now divided between the St Pancras and Boston Spa sites. The library has an almost complete collection of British and Irish newspapers since 1840. This is partly because of the legal deposit legislation of 1869, which required newspapers to supply a copy of each edition of a newspaper to the library. London editions of national daily and Sunday newspapers are complete back to 1801. In total, the collection consists of 660,000 bound volumes and 370,000 reels of microfilm containing tens of millions of newspapers with 52,000 titles on 45 km of shelves. East Of England Arena
The East of England Showground is a large showground area (667,731sqm) located on East of England Way near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England. The Showground is owned by Bellway as of around 2019 and the site currently includes the East of England Arena and Events Centre and a motorcycle speedway stadium. In September 2021, EEAS entered into a land promotion agreement with Asset Earning Power Group (AEPG). The purpose of the agreement was to develop new leisure facilities on the site and further the association with the Anglia Ruskin University. The showground was owned by the East of England Agricultural Society, formed in 1970 by the merger of several agricultural societies.
