Petr Kolář (singer)
Petr Kolář (born 20 June 1967) is a Czech singer. Born in České Budějovice, he was a member of Martin Němec's band ''Precedens'' in the late 1990s. From 2002 to 2005, Kolář was a member of the rock band ''Arakain''. He released his first solo album ''Mackie Messer'' in 1999 and has collaborated with many other musicians, including Iveta Bartošová, Michael Kocáb, Michal David and Daniel Landa Daniel Landa (born 4 November 1968) is a Czech musician, actor, car racer, and amateur muay thai fighter. České Budějovice (; ) is a city in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 97,000 inhabitants. Michal David
Michal David (born name Vladimír Štancl, 14 July 1960, Prague) is a Czech Pop Singer, pop-singer, songwriter and producer. Biography and career He started his music career during his studies in Prague Conservatory in the 1970s where he created a jazz band with his friends, as jazz has been Michal's main passion and an academic concentration. However, after a short period of time, he was hired by a successful pop-music producer František Janeček as a piano player, singer and a song-writer and soon became a teenage girls' idol. Michal David had a very successful career as a singer and composer, however after the Czechoslovak Velvet Revolution in 1989, he as well many other Czechoslovak popular singers fell on hard times, since the political situation changed rapidly and the market started to open to other foreign artists and domestic artists lost their popularity for a while. Daniel Landa
Daniel Landa (born 4 November 1968) is a Czech musician, actor, car racer, and amateur muay thai fighter. Born in Prague, Landa graduated with honours from Prague Conservatory, having studied music and drama. He began his musical career in 1988 when he, along with David Matásek, founded the oi! band Orlík, with whom he released two albums. Orlík has been criticized for its racist overtones, targeting specifically the Gypsy minority in the Czech Republic. In 1993, he began recording as a solo artist, and has since released numerous albums. He has also composed music for films and written several musicals. His material often deals with patriotic and political themes. Michael Kocáb
Michael Kocáb (born 28 July 1954) is a Czech composer, singer, and political activist. He is the leader of Pražský výběr, a popular music band suppressed by the Czechoslovak communist regime in the 1980s. At the spring 1989 Kocab with Michal Horacek founded the "Bridge" initiative; after founding of Civic Forum (CF) on November 19, 1989, he organized together with Horacek all negotiations of CF with the communist Prime Minister and his cabinet. On behalf of CF, Kocab was also responsible for negotiations with representatives of the Czechoslovak army. Using the significant political influence, he managed with several people to put through Vaclav Havel as the sole candidate of CF for the duty of the president – as Havel spoke of this in February 1990 in his speech to the US Congress in 1990. Iveta Bartošová (8 April 1966 – 29 April 2014) was a Czech people, Czech singer, actress and celebrity, three-time best female vocalist in the music poll Zlatý slavík (1986, 1990 and 1991). She was also known for her turbulent lifestyle attracting the attention of the Czech Tabloid journalism, tabloid media.
