Petit Lac Saint-François (Ashberham)
The Petit lac Saint-François (''in English: Little Lake Saint François'') is a lake located near the municipality of Saint-Joseph-de-Coleraine in the administrative region of Chaudière-Appalaches, in Quebec, in Canada. It receives the waters of the Ashberham River which has its source in Caribou Lake. The discharge of the lake joins the Grand lac Saint François, source of the Saint-François River which joins the Saint Lawrence River. Les Appalaches () is a regional county municipality (RCM) in the Chaudière-Appalaches region in southeastern Quebec, Canada. It was established in 1982 from parts of the historic counties of Beauce, Quebec, Beauce, Frontenac County, Quebec, Frontenac, Mégantic County, Mégantic, and Wolfe County, Quebec, Wolfe. The county seat and largest city is Thetford Mines. The name of the RCM is linked to its location in the Appalachian Mountains with Mounts Adstock, Caribou, Oak, and Saint-Adrien being the highest. Until 2008, it was known as L'Amiante Regional County Municipality, because of the importance of asbestos mining in the region (''amiante'' is French for "asbestos"). The Grand lac Saint-François () is a freshwater body covering , in the administrative region of Chaudière-Appalaches, in southeastern Quebec, in Canada. Saint-François River
The Saint-François River (, ) is a right tributary of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Its source is Lake Saint-François in Chaudière-Appalaches, southeast of Thetford Mines. It flows southwest towards Sherbrooke, where it changes course northwest towards Drummondville, and finally empties into the Saint Lawrence River near Pierreville. Its total length is 135 miles. Quebec Route 112
Route 112 is a busy east–west highway on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Its eastern terminus is in Frampton at the junction of Route 275, and the western terminus is in Downtown Montreal (at the corner of Peel Street and Sherbrooke Street), after crossing the Victoria Bridge. The stretch between Vallée-Jonction and Sherbrooke is a very busy highway as it is the main link between the southern regions of Quebec, in particular the Beauce region and the Eastern Townships. Between Sherbrooke and Marieville there is less traffic, since Autoroute 10 is in close proximity to the highway. Bécancour River
The Bécancour River () is a river flowing in the administrative region of Centre-du-Québec, in Quebec, Canada. Geography The Bécancour takes its source from the lake of the same name in the town of Thetford Mines, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region. It flows west into William Lake at Saint-Ferdinand, changes course northwards towards Inverness, turning westward there and continuing to flow west across the Centre-du-Québec region for most of its length.
