Peter Springett
Peter Springett (8 May 1946 – 28 September 1997) was an English professional footballer in the 1960s and 1970s and the brother of fellow professional footballer Ron Springett. He made over 500 professional appearances in the Football League, football league as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Career He played in goal for Queen's Park Rangers and later Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley, Scarborough F.C., Scarborough and Frickley Athletic F.C., Frickley Athletic. He made his debut in 1963 against Peterborough United F.C., Peterborough United and went on to play 137 league games for Queens Park Rangers F.C., QPR. Peter was part of the QPR team in 1966–67 that won both the Football League Third Division, Third Division Championship and the Football League Cup, League Cup, beating West Bromwich Albion F.C., West Bromwich Albion 3–2 at Wembley Stadium on 4 March 1967. Peterborough United F
Peterborough () is a cathedral city in Cambridgeshire, east of England. It is the largest part of the City of Peterborough unitary authority district (which covers a larger area than Peterborough itself). It was part of Northamptonshire until 1974, when county boundary change meant the city became part of Cambridgeshire instead. The city is north of London, on the River Nene which flows into the North Sea to the north-east. In 2020 the built-up area subdivision had an estimated population of 179,349. Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread.
