Peter Richard Prinsley (born 8 April 1958) is a British Labour Party UK, Labour Party politician, who was elected as Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament for Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket (UK Parliament constituency), Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket in the 2024 United Kingdom general election, general election held on 4 July 2024. Early life and education Prinsley was born on 8 April 1958 in Ilkley, Yorkshire, England. He was educated at Guisborough Grammar School, a grammar school in Guisborough. Career Prinsley is an otorhinolaryngology, otorhinolaryngologist by profession (a physician specialising in diseases of the ear, nose, and throat). He was educated at Sheffield Medical School. Cholesteatoma
Cholesteatoma is a destructive and expanding growth consisting of keratinizing squamous epithelium in the middle ear and/or mastoid process. Cholesteatomas are not cancerous as the name may suggest, but can cause significant problems because of their erosive and expansile properties. This can result in the destruction of the bones of the middle ear (ossicles), as well as growth through the base of skull, base of the skull into the brain.
