Peter Andrikidis
Peter Andrikidis is an Australian film and television director, and producer. Early life and education Andrikidis went to the Sydney high school Drummoyne Boys High School in the mid-1970s, where he made a small film called "Nemesis". He graduated from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Film Direction in 1981. Career Immediately after graduation from AFTRS, Andrikidis was recruited to Crawford Productions, where he worked on '' The Flying Doctors''. He moved to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), where he worked as director and producer on the medical drama series ''G.P.'', which earned him his first Australian Film Institute Award (AFI Award). Australian Film Television And Radio School
The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) formerly Australian Film and Television School, is Australia's national screen arts and broadcast school. The school is a Commonwealth Government statutory authority. History Established in 1972 as the Australian Film and Television School, as part of the Commonwealth Government's strategy to promote the development of Australia's cultural activity, AFTRS was opened to students in 1973, with the first intake of 12 students including directors Gillian Armstrong, Phillip Noyce and Chris Noonan. In 1973 Jerzy Toeplitz was appointed Foundation Director of the School and after six years in the role was awarded the Order of Australia and the AFI's Longford Lyell Award. ITV Granada, formerly known as Granada Television, is the ITV franchisee for the North West of England and Isle of Man. ''Fat Tony & Co.'' is a nine-episode Australian television series focusing on Tony Mokbel and covers the manhunt which lasted 18 months and dismantled a drug empire. It premiered on 23 February 2014 and concluded on 6 April 2014 on the Nine Network. ''Water Rats'' is an Australian TV police procedural broadcast on the Nine Network from 1996 to 2001. The series was based on the work of the men and women of the Sydney Water Police who fight crime around Sydney Harbour and surrounding locales. The show was set on and around Goat Island in Sydney Harbour. ''Water Rats'' premiered on 12 February 1996, and ran for six seasons and 177 episodes.
