Petar Jelić (basketball)
Petar Jelić ( sr-Cyrl, Петар Јелић; born 18 October 1986) is a Bosnian Serb former international footballer. Club career Jelić played for FK Modriča Maxima in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina until he signed with 1. FC Nürnberg of the Bundesliga. Nürnberg had loaned Jelić to Second Division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena, but he could not gain a place in the first team. After his return to Nuremberg, he was sold to OFK Beograd. In summer 2010 he joined Russian side FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod where he stayed until summer 2013, with an exception of a loan to FC Dinamo Tbilisi in 2011. In summer 2013 he returned to Serbia and joined Serbian SuperLiga side FK Novi Pazar. Jelić transferred to China League One side Guangdong Sunray Cave on 23 March 2014. Modriča
Modriča ( sr-cyrl, Модрича) is a town and municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013 census, the town has a population of 10,137 inhabitants, while the municipality has a population of 25,720 inhabitants. History The first written document about Modriča is a 13th century charter of Hungarian King Béla IV of Hungary, Bela IV in which Modriča is mentioned as a spring: "...fons Modricha, ubi cadit in Boznam ("...the spring of Modricha, where it falls into the Boznam")"; this indicates that it was a minor stream which was flowing into the Bosna (river), Bosna river. The Serbian Super League (), also known as Mozzart SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Serbia and the highest level of the Serbian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Serbian First League. The SuperLiga was formed during the summer of 2005 as the country's top football league competition in Serbia and Montenegro. The president of Republika Srpska (, ; ) is the highest executive authority in Republika Srpska, an entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is one of the executive authorities, along with the Government of Republika Srpska. Milan Jelić ( sr-cyrl, Милан Јелић; 26 March 1956 – 30 September 2007) was a Bosnian Serb politician who served as the 6th president of Republika Srpska from 2006 until his death in 2007. Biography Born near Modriča, Jelić completed his secondary education in Doboj and has graduated from the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Economics at Subotica, Serbia. He gained a doctorate from the University of Banja Luka. He has two sons, Petar and Dimitrije. Jelić spent four years on the local council in Modriča, and at the beginning of 1987 he was appointed manager of OOUR in the town.
