Emil Perttilä
Jacob Emil Perttilä (born Ahlberg, since 1909 Palander, 18 February 1875 – 21 August 1933) was a Finnish politician and trade unionist. He was a Member of the Parliament of Finland for the Social Democratic Party in 1907-1908. Perttilä was also known as a playwright who wrote comedy scripts. Life Emil Perttilä was born in Isokyrö, Ostrobothnia as an illegitimate child of a housemaid. He worked as a carpenter in 1890s in Helsinki before becoming the treasurer of the Social Democratic Party in 1904. Perttilä was the chairman of the Finnish Carpenters Union 1899, the chairman of the Central Committee of the Finnish general strike of 1905 and the chairman of the Social Democratic Party 1905-1906. He was also a founder of the Finnish Trade Union Federation, established 1907. In March 1909, Perttilä quit his post and took a small sum of money from the party treasury. Barren Earth
Barren Earth is a Finnish progressive death metal band from Helsinki, formed in 2007. Their music is said to be a combination of death metal, progressive rock, and folk music, pulling influence from the different groups each member is associated with. Since their formation, the band has released one EP and four full-length albums. History ''Our Twilight'' and ''Curse of the Red River'' (2009 onwards) In November 2009, the EP '' Our Twilight'' was issued, and included four songs. Shortly after the EP had been issued, Barren Earth performed its first gig, in the club Dante's Highlight in Helsinki. Matti Rudolf "Masa" Perttilä (21 January 1896 – 12 May 1968) was a Finnish wrestler who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. He was born and died in Isokyrö. Valfrid Perttilä
Valfrid Perttilä (23 September 1878 – 17 August 1953) was a Finnish politician and trade unionist. He was a member of the Parliament of Finland 1907–1914 and 1917 representing the Social Democratic Party. During the 1918 Civil War of Finland, Perttilä was the chairman of the Central Workers' Council of Finland. Life Perttilä lived in Helsinki as a factory worker since 1893 and joined the Social Democratic Party in 1899. During the 1905 General Strike, Perttilä was a member of the Helsinki General Strike Committee. In 1907, he was elected to the Parliament of Finland.
