Pepi Weixlgärtner-Neutra
Josephine Therese (Pepi) Weixlgärtner-Neutra (born 19 January 1886 in Vienna – died 1981 in Gothenburg) was an Austrian-Swedish artist, who concentrated on graphic design, painting, sculpture and enamelwork. Life Known as Pepi and born in Austria in 1886, she was the daughter of wealthy factory owners Samuel Neutra and Elisabeth Glaser and was the eldest sister of the Austrian-American architect Richard Neutra. In 1908, she married the prominent art historian and museum director Arpad Weixlgärtner (1872–1961) and the couple had two children, Elisabeth Söderberg (1912–1991) and Johannes Weixlgärtner. Weixlgärtner-Neutra studied sculpture with Anton Hanak at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna and also pursued her art studies while traveling to a dozen countries in Europe. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Ateneum
Ateneum is an art museum in Helsinki, Finland and one of the three museums forming the Finnish National Gallery. It is located in the centre of Helsinki on the south side of Rautatientori square close to Helsinki Central railway station. It has the biggest collections of classical art in Finland. Before 1991 the Ateneum building also housed the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts and University of Art and Design Helsinki. Collections The collections of Ateneum include Finnish art extensively from 18th-century rococo portraiture to the experimental art movements of the 20th century. The collections also include some 650 international works of art. Gothenburg Museum of Art () is located at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg, Sweden. It claims to be the third-largest art museum in Sweden by the size of its collection. Collections The museum holds the world's finest collection of late 19th-century Nordic art. A highlight is the lavishly decorated Fürstenberg Gallery, named after a leading Gothenburg art donor, Pontus Fürstenberg and his wife Göthilda. Among the artists showcased are P.S.
