Pedro de Alcántara Téllez-Girón y Beaufort Spontin, 11th Duke of Osuna, Grandee, GE (10 September 1810 – 29 September 1844), was a Spanish peer, head of the House of Osuna. He was one of the most important peers of his time, and was thirteen times a List of dukes in the peerage of Spain, duke, twelve a marquess, thirteen a Count (title), count and once a List of viscounts in the peerage of Spain, viscount. Family origins Pedro was the son of Francisco Téllez-Girón, 10th Duke de Osuna and of María Francisca Beaufort Spontin y Álvarez de Toledo, 11th Marquess of Almenara (1587), Marchioness of Almenara. The Téllez-Girón family had held title over the Dukedom of Osuna since 1562 with the rise of Pedro Téllez-Girón, 1st Duke of Osuna, Pedro Téllez-Girón. Duke of Arcos () is an hereditary title in the Peerage of Spain, granted by Isabella I in 1493 to Rodrigo Ponce de León, then 4th Count of Arcos. The dukedom is among the first 25 titles which reached the rank of Grandee of Spain 1st Class, in 1520. Nowadays however, all Grandees are of the same class.
