Pedro Girón Acuña Pacheco
Pedro Girón Acuña Pacheco (1423–1466), was Master of the Order of Calatrava (1445–1466), 1st Lord of Ureña and Osuna, and an important political figure at the court of Henry IV of Castile. He was the younger brother of Juan Pacheco and nephew of Alfonso Carrillo de Acuña, Archbishop of Toledo. In the trail of his brother, and a confidant of the young prince and later King Henry IV of Castile, he became one of the most powerful and rich persons in the Castilian court. At the age of 22 he became Master of the military Order of Calatrava, and received in 1448 the strategic town of Peñafiel, Spain, Peñafiel, where he built the Peñafiel Castle. When Prince Henry became King in 1454, Pedro received several towns and titles including Lord of Osuna, which would become the powerful House of Osuna. Pedro Téllez-Girón, 3rd Count Of Ureña
Pedro Téllez-Girón y Fernández de Velasco or Pedro Girón (died Seville, April 25, 1531), was a Spanish noble, 3rd Count of Ureña and a leader of the Revolt of the Comuneros. He was the son of Juan Téllez-Girón, 2nd Count of Ureña and Leonor de la Vega Velasco, daughter of Pedro Fernández de Velasco, 2nd Count of Haro. He married Mencía de Guzmán, daughter of Juan Alfonso Pérez de Guzmán, 3rd Duke of Medina Sidonia. When his brother-in-law Enrique Pérez de Guzmán, 4th Duke of Medina Sidonia, died in 1512 without issue, Pedro Girón unsuccessfully claimed the title of Medina Sidonia through his wife. Pedro stated that Alfonso Pérez de Guzmán, 5th Duke of Medina Sidonia, Alonso Pérez de Guzmán, son of the third Duke and his second wife, was an illegitimate child. Pedro Téllez-Girón, 3rd Duke of Osuna (17 December 1574 – 24 September 1624) was a Spanish nobleman and politician. He was the 2nd Marquis of Peñafiel, 7th Count of Ureña, Spanish Viceroy of Sicily (1611–1616), Viceroy of Naples (1616–1620), a Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece since 1608, Grandee of Spain, member of the Spanish Supreme Council of War, and the subject of several poems by his friend, counselor and assistant, Francisco de Quevedo. He served as a footsoldier and climbed the ranks, an unusual career for an aristocrat, during the Eighty Years' War. Pedro de Alcántara Álvarez de Toledo y Salm-Salm, 13th Duke of the Infantado (20 July 1768 – 27 November 1841) was a Spanish Army officer, politician and nobleman.
