Pedro Carrión Sago (born August 24, 1971 in Cuba) is a Cuban heavyweight boxer best known to win several medals in international amateur competition at super heavyweight. Amateur At the 2001 World Amateur Boxing Championships he beat Jason Estrada, but lost to Alexei Mazikin. At the 2003 World Amateur Boxing Championships he defeated Sebastian Köber but lost a war with Alexander Povetkin in the final. Oleksiy Mazikin (born 16 February 1975) is a Ukrainian boxer best known to win the silver medal at the 2001 World Championships in the Men's Super Heavyweight division. Amateur Mazikin was a successful amateur but kept losing to southpaws. At the Olympics 2000 he lost to southpaw Audley Harrison, at the World Championships 2001 where he achieved his best result beating Alexander Povetkin 36:30 and Pedro Carrión he lost the final to southpaw Ruslan Chagaev. Rustam Saidov (Рустам Саидов; born 6 February 1978) is a boxer from Uzbekistan, who competed in the Super Heavyweight (+91 kg) at the 2000 Summer Olympics and won the bronze medal.
