Pedro Ayres Magalhães
Pedro Aires Ferreira de Almeida Gonçalves Magalhães (born 31 July 1959), known as Pedro Ayres Magalhães, is a Portuguese musician, best known as a founding member and the main songwriter of the musical group Madredeus. Magalhães has also been a member of the pop rock band Heróis do Mar and the Portuguese supergroup Resistência. Early life Pedro Ayres Magalhães was born on 31 July 1959. He attended the Colégio Militar in Lisbon until the 5th grade, quitting shortly after the Carnation Revolution. Afterwards he joined the Academy of Musical Amateurs (''Academia dos Amadores de Música''), where he stayed until the age of 20. Magalhães studied music and classical guitar during his youth. The Order of Prince Henry () is a Portuguese order of knighthood created on 2 June 1960, to commemorate the quincentenary of the death of the Portuguese ''infante'' Prince Henry the Navigator, one of the main initiators of the Age of Discovery. It was released on 7 March 1995 by EMI-Valentim de Carvalho. Recording ''Ainda'' was recorded between 27 March and 5 May 1994 at the Great Linford Manor and Lansdowne Recording Studios, in England. Recording and mixing were done by António Pinheiro da Silva and Jonathan Miller. The mixing was done at the Tritonius Studios in Berlin, in October 1994. ''Lisbon Story'' (; ) is a 1994 feature film directed by Wim Wenders. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival. As part of Lisbon's programme as the European City of Culture in 1994, Wenders and three Portuguese filmmakers were invited to make a documentary about the city. Delfins
Delfins was a Portuguese pop-rock band, from Cascais. Its lead vocalist was Miguel Ângelo. Other members of the group were Rui Fadigas, Fernando Cunha, Silvestre Magalhães, Pedro Molkov and João Carlos Magalhães. Xutos & Pontapés () are a Portuguese Rock music, rock band. The band was founded in 1978, in Lisbon, by the late Zé Pedro, Zé Leonel, Kalú and Tim. Their current lineup consists of Tim (vocals, bass), João Cabeleira (guitar), Gui (saxophone, keyboards) and Kalú (drums). Xutos & Pontapés are often considered the most successful rock band from Portugal. The band is popularly known by its fanbase as simply Xutos.
