Paços De Ferreira
Paços de Ferreira () is a city in the Porto District, in the north of Portugal. The population of the city in 2011 was 7491, while its municipality had 56,340 inhabitants, in an area of 70.99 km². Sometimes referred to as the ''Capital do Móvel'' (''capital of furniture''), owing to the predominance of this industry within its territory, the municipality has around 5000 companies producing furniture and has the biggest exhibition and selling area (estimated in 2.5 million square meters) of furniture in Europe. It is also the location of IKEA's industrial operations within Portugal. The Paços de Ferreira Municipal Chamber () is the administrative authority in the municipality of Paços de Ferreira. It has 12 freguesias in its area of jurisdiction and is based in the city of Paços de Ferreira, on the Porto District. These freguesias are: Carvalhosa; Eiriz; Ferreira; Figueiró; Frazão Arreigada; Freamunde; Meixomil; Paços de Ferreira; Penamaior; Raimonda; Sanfins Lamoso Codessos and Seroa. Carlos Paulo Martins Carneiro (born 27 December 1975) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a striker. He played mostly for Paços de Ferreira during his 16-year senior career, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 172 matches and 24 goals over eight seasons and also representing in competition Vitória de Guimarães and Gil Vicente. Playing career During his early career, Paços de Ferreira-born Carneiro played for F.C. Paços de Ferreira (he would represent his boyhood club on three separate stints) and S.C. Joaquim Agostinho da Silva Ribeiro (born 15 September 1975 in Paços de Ferreira), known as Agostinho, is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a winger. He spent most of his professional career in Spain, playing 182 matches (with 18 goals) in the two major levels. In his country, without really settling anywhere, he represented five clubs, totalling only 63 appearances in the Primeira Liga. Sílvia Cardoso Ferreira da Silva (26 July 1882 – 2 November 1950) was a Portuguese Roman Catholic. During her lifetime she led a tireless apostolate dedicated to serving the poor in Brazil (where she travelled to and once lived) and in her native land where she founded retreat centers and soup kitchens. In addition to these initiatives with her own resources she funded a boarding school for girls but divested most of her time and effort in a hospital that she sought to improve on following its inauguration. The initial steps for her beatification process started in the 1970s but the formal introduction for the cause came in 1984 – she became titled as a Servant of God. The cause reached a decisive point in 2013 after Pope Francis acknowledged her heroic virtue and named her as Venerable.
