Pavel Přindiš
Pavel Přindiš (born August 17, 1961 in Olomouc) is a Czechoslovak-Czech slalom canoeist who competed from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. He won two bronze medals in the K1 team event at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships (1991 for Czechoslovakia, 1993 for the Czech Republic). Přindiš also finished 24th in the K1 event at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. His son Vít Vít is a Czech masculine given name, the Czech rendition of the Latin name Vitus, popularized through the Christian tradition of Saint Vitus (290–302). Whitewater Slalom
Canoe slalom (previously known as whitewater slalom) is a competitive sport with the aim to navigate a Spraydeck, decked canoe or kayak through a course of hanging downstream or upstream gates on Whitewater, river rapids in the fastest time possible. It is one of two kayak and canoeing disciplines at the Summer Olympics, and is referred to by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as Canoe/Kayak Slalom. The other Olympic canoeing discipline is canoe racing, canoe sprint. Wildwater canoeing is a non-Olympic paddlesport. The 1992 Canoe Slalom World Cup was a series of five races in 4 canoeing and kayaking categories organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 5th edition. The series consisted of 4 regular world cup races and the world cup final. Calendar Final standings The winner of each world cup race was awarded 25 points. Vít Přindiš
Vít Přindiš (born 14 April 1989) is a Czech slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2005. He won seven medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with three golds (K1: 2022, K1 team: 2017, 2023), three silvers (K1: 2017, K1 team: 2014, 2019) and a bronze (K1 team: 2018). He also won 16 medals (12 golds, 3 silvers and 1 bronze) at the European Canoe Slalom Championships, including a bronze medal in kayak cross at the 2023 European Games in Kraków. Přindiš won the overall World Cup title in the K1 class in 2017, 2021 and 2023 and in Kayak cross in 2021. He finished the 2017 and 2018 seasons as the World No. 1 in the K1 event. The ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships are an international event in canoeing organized by the International Canoe Federation. The World Championships have taken place every year in non- Summer Olympic years since 2002. From 1949 to 1999, they had taken place in odd-numbered years. The 2001 championships were scheduled to take place in Ducktown, Tennessee (East of Chattanooga) from 20 to 23 September, but were canceled in the wake of the September 11 attacks. Men race in single kayaks (K1) and single canoes (C1) both individually and in teams. Women race in K1 both individually and in teams and since the 2010 championships also in C1 individually. A team event was scheduled for those championships, but it was canceled because of weather conditions.
