Paula Martí
Paula Martí Zambrano (born 29 January 1980) is a professional golfer from Spain. She used to be a member of the LPGA Tour and now plays the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Martí was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. As an amateur, she was National Spanish Champion in 1996 and a member of the European Junior Ryder Cup teams of 1995 and 1997. She moved to the United States in 1998, and graduated from Saddlebrook Prep School and the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy. She was 1998 AJGA All-American. Martí attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, United States, where she played for the Florida Gators women's golf team in 2000 and was recognized as a second-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) selection. Women's British Open
The Women's Open (originally known as the Women's British Open, and still widely referred to by that name outside the UK) is a major championship in women's professional golf. It is recognised by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major. The reigning champion is Lydia Ko, who won at the 2024 tournament. The 2003 LPGA Tour was the 54th season since the LPGA Tour officially began in 1950. The season ran from March 13 to November 23. The season consisted of 31 official money events. Annika Sörenstam won the most tournaments, six. She also led the money list with earnings of $2,029,506. Bettina Hauert
Bettina Alexandra Hauert (born 18 June 1982) is a German professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Born in Hagen, Germany, Hauert was the individual champion at the 2003 Sherry Cup. She was also a member of the 2003 European team at the Vagliano Trophy. Professional career Hauert won the Ladies European Tour qualifying school in 2003, and in 2004 became the first female golf professional to take a place alongside the men on the Playing Pro Team of the PGA of Germany. In her first three seasons on tour her best finish was a tie for seventh at the Scandinavian TPC hosted by Annika. The Ladies Swiss Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour that is held in Switzerland. History The tournament was first played in 1988 and then again in 1989 near St. Moritz, and between 1990 and 1997 near Geneva. 2007 Solheim Cup
The 2007 Solheim Cup was the tenth Solheim Cup, held 14–16 September at Halmstad GK in Halmstad, Sweden. It was a three-day contest for professional female golfers, pitting the 12 best players born in the United States against the 12 best players born in Europe. The U.S. team won the competition, 16 to 12, to retain the Solheim Cup. Format The Solheim Cup is a match play event, as opposed to the more common stroke play format. A total of 28 points are available, divided among four periods of team play, followed by one period of singles play. The first period, on Friday morning, consists of four rounds of foursomes. This is followed in the afternoon by four rounds of four-ball. This schedule is repeated on Saturday morning and afternoon. The four periods on Friday and Saturday account for 16 points. The Women's Australian Open is a women's professional golf tournament played in Australia, operated by Golf Australia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia, long co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). Beginning with the 2012 event, it is also co-sanctioned by the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. In 2008, it was the second-richest women's golf tournament on the ALPG Tour, with a prize fund of A$500,000, and was raised to A$600,000 in 2010. Marta Prieto (born 11 September 1978) is a Spanish professional golfer from Seville, Spain who plays on the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Prieto was Spanish under-18 champion in 1995 and 1997 Spanish Amateur Champion and played her collegiate golf at Wake Forest University, North Carolina from which she graduated with a degree in economics. In her first year Prieto won the ACC Championship having led from start to finish to earn medalist honors and grabbed a share of the Rookie of the Year honor in addition to being a member of the All- ACC team.
