Arthur Paul Smith (February 5, 1929 – March 3, 2006) was an American comic character actor with a perpetually perplexed or, alternatively, bemused expression, who, during the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s, appeared in scores of television episodes, primarily sitcoms, including regular roles in five series, and was also seen in numerous theatrical features, television films and commercials, frequently in brief, sometimes unbilled, comedic bits. He is perhaps best known for playing associate editor Ron Harvey on ''The Doris Day Show'' (1969—1971). Elisabeth Fraser (born Elisabeth Fraser Jonker, January 8, 1920 – May 5, 2005) was an American actress, best known for playing brassy blondes. Life and career Born Elisabeth Fraser Jonker on January 8, 1920, in Brooklyn, New York, she was educated in Haiti, France and New York. Fraser began her acting career six weeks after graduating from high school; she was cast as the ingenue in the Broadway production of ''There Shall Be No Night'', which won the Pulitzer Prize for the 1940-1941 season. Will Scarlet (also Scarlett, Scarlock, Scadlock, Scatheloke, Scathelocke and Shacklock) is a prominent member of Robin Hood's Merry Men. He is present in the earliest ballads along with Little John and Much the Miller's Son. The confusion of surnames has led some authors to distinguish them as belonging to different characters. ''Advance to the Rear'' is a light-hearted 1964 American Western comedy film set in the American Civil War. Directed by George Marshall, and starring Glenn Ford, Stella Stevens, and Melvyn Douglas. The film is based on the 1957 novel ''Company of Cowards'' by Jack Schaefer, whose inspiration was an article by William Chamberlain, published in the ''Saturday Evening Post'' in 1956. Chamberlain recounts the apocryphal Civil War stories of "Company Q" (19th century army slang for the sick list), a unit composed of coward soldiers who are given a second chance to prove their bravery. The film had the novel title in pre-production and when released in the United Kingdom. Marian Irene Driscoll Jordan (April 15, 1898 – April 7, 1961) was an American actress and radio personality.
