He is the son of Australia's first billionaire Robert Holmes à Court and CEO of Vasse Felix. Early life Holmes à Court was born in 1972, the son of South African-born Australian businessman Robert Holmes à Court (who became Australia's first billionaire), and businesswoman (and chairperson of Heytesbury Pty Ltd), Janet Holmes à Court. Career In 2000, Holmes à Court took over the management of Heytesbury from his mother Janet after his father Robert passed away in 1990. Swan District Hospital
The former Swan District Hospital was a general public hospital in Middle Swan, in Perth's north-eastern suburbs. The hospital had an emergency department, 193 beds, and also provided outpatient services. It closed on 24 November 2015 following the opening of the Midland Health Campus. History Construction of the Swan District Hospital was being considered in 1951. It was opened on 22 September 1954 by the Minister for Health, Emil Nulsen, as a 25-bed maternity hospital. A hospital in the Midland area had previously been requested in the 1930s. The hospital expanded with the addition of a 40-bed general wing that opened 18 October 1963. Heytesbury is a village (formerly considered to be a town) and a civil parish in Wiltshire, England. The village lies on the north bank of the Wylye, about southeast of the town of Warminster. The civil parish includes most of the small neighbouring settlement of Tytherington, and the deserted village of Imber. History Chalk downland north of Heytesbury village has prehistoric earthworks including long barrows and round barrows. Strip lynchets are visible north and east of Cotley Hill. Janet Holmes à Court, AC, HonFAHA, HonFAIB (born Janet Lee Ranford on 29 November 1943 in Perth, Western Australia) is an Australian businesswoman and philanthropist. She was the Chairperson of one of Australia's largest private companies, Heytesbury Pty Ltd, having turned around its fortunes after the death of her husband Robert Holmes à Court in 1990. She retained full ownership of the Heytesbury Group of companies until 2008 when her son, Paul Holmes à Court, assumed ownership. Originally called Heytesbury Holdings, the company was formed by Robert Holmes à Court in the 1970s as the holding company of his rapidly expanding financial empire.
