Debora Patta (born 1 September 1964) is a South African investigative broadcast journalist and television producer, who serves as the Africa correspondent for the American news program '' The CBS Evening News'' since 2013. She was previously the host of the long-running ''e.tv'' investigative and current affairs show ''3rd Degree with Debora Patta''. Early life Patta was born in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), where her Italian father had emigrated as a railway employee. Her father was from Rome, Italy and she lived there for a while when she was young. Her Italian family is originally from Praia a Mare in Calabria. She considers Italy her second home and travels there regularly. She moved to South Africa with her mother, a nurse and devout Catholic, and her sister in 1976 after her parents divorced. Henry Leonel Patta Quintero (born 14 January 1987) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays as a forward for Gualaceo. Career Patta began his football career playing for the youth side of El Nacional. He played for Sociedad Deportiva Aucas in Ecuador's Serie B during 2007, when he was the club's second leading scorer, notching eight goals. Patta returned to El Nacional and began playing for the senior side in Ecuador's Serie A during 2008 and 2009. He was included in El Nacional's squad list for the 2009 Copa Libertadores. Patta Sisodia
Patta Sisodia or Rawat Patta Chundawat was one of the principal servants of Udai Singh II and ruler of jagir of Kailwa. He participated in the Siege of Chittorgarh. He was one of the commanders of Chittorgarh Fort during the Siege of Chittogarh. Jauhar was committed in his', Aissar Das Chohan's and Sahib Khan's house after the death of Jaimal Rathore, the governor of the fort. Background When his father died near Udaipur in a battle in 1555, he at age 4 was made the Ruler of Kailwa. He was trusted enough by Udai Singh to be placed as the commander of Chittor in 1567 when he was 16. Death The ''Akbarnama'' tells that when Akbar was marching towards the fort with his army after his military victory, an elephant of his army accidentally trampled a person. When a mahout brought him to Akbar, the man was later identified as Patta.H.M. Pata (sword)
The pata () is a sword, originating from the Indian subcontinent, with a gauntlet integrated as a handguard. Often referred to in its native Marathi as a dandpatta, it is commonly called a gauntlet-sword in English. Description The pata has a long straight blade ranging in length from . The blades were locally made by native artisans. The characteristic feature of the pata is its hilt which takes the form of a half-gauntlet, the inside of which is usually padded. The hilt is attached to the blade by decorative arms that extend forward on both sides of the blade. The Mughals developed a variation with matchlock pistols adjoining the handle. The hilt also has a long cuff which is usually decorated and in older examples inlaid and embellished with gold and silver. The swordsman holds the weapon by gripping a crossbar inside the gauntlet.
