Patrícia Mamona
Patrícia Mbengani Bravo Mamona (born 21 November 1988) is a Portuguese triple jumper of Angolan descent. She won the gold medal at the 2016 European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This was her first-ever major senior title and second European Championships medal, after a silver at the 2012 European Athletics Championships – Women's triple jump, 2012 championships. In 2021, she won the gold medal at the 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships, European Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland after recovering for 4 weeks from COVID-19. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won the silver medal with a national record of 15.01 m. At club level, she represents Sporting CP (athletics), Sporting Clube de Portugal. Mamona attended Clemson University and won two NCAA Championships in women's triple jump (2010, 2011). 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held between 3 and 5 March 2017 at the Kombank Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. This was the second time this event was held in the city after the 1969 European Indoor Games, 1969 edition then known as the European Indoor Games, and the first time in more than 30 years that the competition was held in Eastern Europe. The three-day competition featured 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events and took place over two morning and three afternoon sessions. The decision of Belgrade as the host-city was announced on 4 May 2014 in Frankfurt am Main, beating bids from Istanbul and Polish city Toruń. 2006 Lusophony Games
The 1st Lusofonia Games (; ) were held in the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China between 7 and 15 October 2006. The 2006 Games were the first edition of this multi-sport event for Portuguese-speaking countries and territories, under the banner of ACOLOP. The site for the opening ceremony was the Macau Stadium and the closing ceremony was held at the Macau East Asian Games Dome. The mascot for the games was a dog named Leo. The 2009 Lusofonia Games was the 2nd Lusofonia Games (), a multi-sport event for delegations representing Portuguese-speaking National Olympic committees. It took place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 11 to 19 July 2009. The Pavilhão Atlântico acted as the main venue, staging the opening ceremonies and the majority of the sporting events. Lusophony Games
The Lusofonia Games () was a multinational multi-sport event organized by the ACOLOP, which involves athletes coming from Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) countries. Most countries competing are members of the CPLP (Community of Portuguese Language Countries), some with significant Portuguese communities or history with Portugal. Participating countries are founding members Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, East Timor, Guinea-Bissau, Macau ( Chinese SAR), Mozambique, Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe, and associate members India, Equatorial Guinea, and Sri Lanka. The European Athletics Team Championships (European Team Championships until 2013), is an international athletics competition organised by European Athletics, between different countries of Europe, over 4 leagues. It replaced in 2009 the former and similar European Cup (1965-2008). Unlike most international competitions, medals are not awarded to individuals in individual events but to the overall winning team on a points system.
