Patrick Poivre D’Arvor
Patrick Poivre d'Arvor (PPDA; né Patrick Jean Marcel Poivre, ; born 20 September 1947) is a French TV journalist and writer. He is a household name in France, and nicknamed "PPDA". With over 30 years and in excess of 4,500 editions of television news to his credit, he was one of the longest serving newsreaders in the world until he was fired in 2008. He presented his last newscast on TF1 on 10 July 2008. Since 2021, a total of 27 women have accused Patrick Poivre d'Arvor of sexual assault or rape that would have allegedly happened during decades prior. Seventeen women filed a formal complaint. Reims
Reims ( ; ; also spelled Rheims in English) is the most populous city in the French Departments of France, department of Marne (department), Marne, and the List of communes in France with over 20,000 inhabitants, 12th most populous city in France. ''Fort Boyard'' is a French game show developed by Jacques Antoine, it was first broadcast on 7 July 1990 (originally as ''Les Clés de Fort Boyard'', however shortened to ''Fort Boyard'' from the second series in 1991). Many foreign versions of the show, totalling over 1,800 episodes, have aired around the world since 1990. Set and filmed on the real fortress of the same name on the west coast of France, the programme appears similar to the British game show '' The Crystal Maze'' (February 1990 onwards) which was created as an alternative format by Antoine for Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, after the fortress was unavailable to film in because of its then ongoing refurbishment (during 1989). CNews (; stylised as CNEWS, formerly i>Télé) is a French free-to-air opinion channel launched on 4 November 1999 by Canal+. It provides 24-hour national and global news coverage. It is the second most watched news network in France, after BFM TV and before LCI and France Info. i>Télé was renamed CNews on 27 February 2017. Since this change, it has taken a conservative editorial stance, and is often compared to the American TV channel Fox News.
