París-Londres, also known as "La Gran Boutique", was a chain of department stores that were briefly rebranded CLASS, then purchased by Grupo Cifra, owner of Suburbia, and rebranded as Suburbia in the 1990s after Mexico started to permit imports from abroad on a large scale. The main store was located at 81, 16 de Septiembre Street in the Historic Center of Mexico City, and there were branches at Perisur, Plaza Satélite and in Polanco. Perisur (also Centro Comercial Perisur) is a shopping mall located in the Coyoacán borough in southern Mexico City at the intersection of Insurgentes Avenue South and the Anillo Periférico, next to the UNAM main campus in Ciudad Universitaria and to the upscale Jardines del Pedregal neighbourhood. Plaza Satélite
Plaza Satélite is a shopping mall in the northwest part of Greater Mexico City in Ciudad Satélite on the Anillo Periferico ring road. Opened on October 13, 1971, it was Mexico's first American-style shopping mall. It has over 240 stores and services. History Plaza Satélite began construction in 1968 in Ciudad Satélite with the blueprints of architect Juan Sordo Madaleno. It was inaugurated on October 13, 1971 with four anchors: Sears, Liverpool, Sanborn's, and París-Londres, with 150 retail units in total including restaurants, banks and the largest movie theater in Latin America with 1,400 seats. At that time it had parking space for 3000 cars. By 1995 the mall was expanded, doubling in size to 240 commercial spaces. Polanco is a neighborhood in the Miguel Hidalgo borough of Mexico City. Polanco is an affluent '' colonia'', noted for its luxury shopping along Presidente Masaryk Avenue, the most expensive street in Mexico, as well as for the numerous prominent cultural institutions located within the neighborhood. Suburbia is a Mexican chain of department stores now part of the El Puerto de Liverpool group and founded in 1970 in Mexico City. Its main activity consists of the sale of clothing, appliances, electronics and cell phones aimed at the middle and lower economic classes. As of December 2023, there were 180 Suburbia department stores located across Mexico. Colonia Del Valle ( Spanish: ''Del Valle neighborhood'') is a Colonia in the Benito Juarez borough of Mexico City. Founded as an aristocratic recreational neighborhood during the Porfiriato era, it has witnessed the various transformations of the capital over time. Avenida de los Insurgentes (), sometimes known simply as Insurgentes, is the longest Street name, avenue in Mexico City, with a length of on a north-south axis across the city. Insurgentes has its origins in what was during the early 20th century known as the Via del Centenario which ran from city centre to the southern suburbs. Avenida Ámsterdam (Amsterdam Avenue) is located in Colonia Hipódromo (Racetrack Colony) in the area known as "la Condesa" (the countess) in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico City.
