Geography Parker Strip is located in the northwest corner of La Paz County. It lies along the Colorado River and includes Parker Dam, which forms Lake Havasu. To the northwest, across the Colorado River, is San Bernardino County, California, and to the north, across an arm of Lake Havasu formed by the Bill Williams River, is Mohave County. Arizona State Route 95 runs through the length of Parker Strip, leading north to Lake Havasu City and southwest to Parker. Lake Havasu () is a large reservoir formed by Parker Dam on the Colorado River, on the border between San Bernardino County, California, and Mohave County, Arizona. Lake Havasu City sits on the Arizonan side of the lake with its Californian counterpart of Havasu Lake, California, Havasu Lake directly across the lake. The reservoir has an available capacity of . State Route 95 (SR 95) is a north–south state highway along the western edge of Arizona that is split into two sections. Route description The southern segment begins in Quartzsite at its junction with U.S. Route 95, traveling north to Parker then following the Colorado River until past Lake Havasu City, and finally intersecting Interstate 40.
