The Paris Université Club (PUC) is a French rugby union club based in Paris. As of the 2024/25 season, they play in the Fédérale 2 - the sixth division of French rugby. It is the rugby section of the omnisport club ( PUC). They were recently relegated from the Fédérale 1. Ewen McKenzie
Ewen James Andrew McKenzie (born 21 June 1965) is an Australian professional rugby union coach and a former international rugby player. He played for Australia national rugby union team, Australia's World Cup winning team in 1991 and earned 51 caps for the Wallabies during his test career. McKenzie was head coach of the Australian team from 2013 to 2014. He has coached in both southern and northern hemispheres, in Super Rugby for the New South Wales Waratahs, Waratahs and Queensland Reds, Reds, and in France at Top 14 side Stade Français. During his playing days he was a Prop (rugby union), prop and, in a representative career spanning from 1987 to 1997, he played nine seasons for the NSW Waratahs and two for the ACT Brumbies. Xavier Blond (rugby Union)
Xavier Blond (born 28 August 1967) is a French former rugby union international. Blond, born in the eastern suburbs of Paris, was a product of the AS Lagny club. He spent his career with two Paris-based teams, Racing Club de France and Stade Français, winning a Brennus Shield with both. A strong and fast flanker, Blond gained six France caps during the early 1990s, debuting in the 3rd and final Test of the 1990 tour of Australia at the Sydney Football Stadium. Blond featured in all four matches of the 1991 Five Nations Championship, that came down to the final round Test between France and England at Twickenham to decide which of the two would win the grand slam. The French were beaten 19–21, with Blond giving away a costly nine-points through penalties. He was considered fortunate not to have been sent off in the second half for a shove on referee Les Peard. Thierry Vincent Moscato, known as Vincent Moscato (born 28 July 1965, in Paris) is a former French rugby union player as well as radio talk host and actor. Moscato played as a hooker. Dimitri Yachvili Markarian (born 19 September 1980) is a French former rugby union footballer who played as a scrum-half for Biarritz and France. He played for France from 2002 to 2012, earning 61 caps and scoring 373 points. With them he played in the final of the 2011 World Cup losing to New Zealand and won two Grand Slams in 2004 and 2010. Guy Stener
Guy Stener (11 February 1931 – 12 December 1967) was a French international rugby union player. Born in Vichy, Stener attended Cusset secondary school and was a football goalkeeper in his youth. He took up rugby on the urging of his friend Guy Ligier, who became a famous racing driver. Stener, a three–quarter, played rugby for the Paris Université Club while studying for a physiotherapy degree and was also involved with his local club RC Vichy. He was capped five times for France, with three appearances in the 1956 Five Nations, then a further two on their 1958 tour of South Africa. Towards the end of his career, Stener had a stint in England with Harlequins during a hospital placement. In 1967, Stener died of a long illness aged 36. Andrew George Ripley OBE (1 December 1947 – 17 June 2010) was an English rugby union international, who represented England from 1972 to 1976, and the Lions on their unbeaten 1974 tour of South Africa. Early life Ripley was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, and educated at the University of East Anglia, London School of Economics (M.Sc.) and Hughes Hall, Cambridge (MPhil).
