Paris Organising Committee For The 2024 Olympic And Paralympic Games
The Paris Organising Committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (COJOP2024) () is the organising committee for the 2024 Summer Olympics and the 2024 Summer Paralympics which were held in Paris, France. Tony Estanguet serves as president of the committee. Étienne Thobois serves as director general. The committee was established on 18 January 2018. The committee has an agreement with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, TOCOG2020 of the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics to share knowledge and expertise. The committee also has an agreement with the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, organising committee of the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics to share knowledge and resources as well as joint communication and advocacy. Tanguy de La Forest (born 21 April 1978) is a French Paralympic shooter. He won two medals at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, a silver in the 10 m air rifle standing SH2 event and a gold in the 10 m air rifle prone SH2 event. Early life Tanguy de La Forest was born in Rennes on 21 April 1978. At a young age, he was diagnosed with infantile spinal muscular atrophy and by the time he was ten years old, he had to use an electric wheelchair. Roxana Maracineanu (; born 7 May 1975) is a Romanian-French politician, former swimming champion and television consultant who served as Minister Delegate in charge of Sports in the government of Prime Minister Jean Castex (2020–2022) and as Minister of Sports under Édouard Philippe (2018–2022). Sarah Ourahmoune (born 21 January 1982) is a French former female boxer. She won a silver medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016 before she retired to found a gym in Paris. Life Ourahmoune was born in 1982 in Sèvres. She is of Algerian descent and she has relations in Algeria. She would visit there each year with her family. She became a boxer in France when she mistakenly asked if that club organised many sports. They only did one, so she tried it and she enjoyed her first experience.
