Parimal Suklabaidya (born 20 January 1958) is an Indian Politician from the state of Assam. He is a member of the Assam Legislative Assembly from the Bharatiya Janata Party. Assam Legislative Assembly
The Assam Legislative Assembly is the unicameral legislature of the Indian state of Assam. It is housed in Guwahati, the capital city of Assam, geographically situated in present Western Assam region. Girindra Mallik (born 1 May 1939) is a former member of the Assam Legislative Assembly and represented the Dholai on two separate occasions. He was first elected to the legislative assembly in 1996 defeating Parimal Suklabaidya but was defeated in the 2001 Assam Legislative election by Parimal Suklaibaidya. Cachar District
Cachar district is an administrative district in the state of Assam in India. After independence the undivided Cachar district was split into four districts in Assam: Dima Hasao district (formerly North Cachar Hills), Cachar district alongside Hailakandi and Karimganj. Etymology The Kacharis (Kachari kingdom) have given their name to the modern district Cachar. The Kacharis call themselves Barman in Barak valley and Dimasa in the Dima Hasao district. They were known to the Ahoms as Timisa, a corruption of the word "Dimasa".
