''Paradiso'' () is a song by Marika Gombitová released on Jumbo Records in 1994. The music for the lyrics by Kamil Peteraj wrote the singer, while a video was directed by Katarína Ďurovičová, winning in addition the annual ''Zlatý Triangel'' () award in 1995. Marika Gombitová
Marika Gombitová (; born 12 September 1956) is a Slovak singer-songwriter and musician. Once a member of Modus (band), Modus, Gombitová started to gain early acclaim as a former female vocalist of the group. Nevertheless, she gradually developed her publicity, public image as a solo artist, making Boľavé námestie, own debut on gramophone record, short play in 1977. Subsequently, after topping the local record chart, music charts with "Študentská láska" (1978), her debut studio album, set entitled ''Dievča do dažďa'' (1979) saw its eventual results on OPUS Records. The album's lead single, lead "Vyznanie", earned several music awards; most notably at the Intervision Song Contest, 4th Intervision Song Contest held in Poland (1980). In years to come later, the love song, love anthem was to be celebrated as "The Hit of the Century" (2007) in her country. Daniel Junas
Daniel Junas, also known as Dano Junas, (born 16 January 1962) is a Slovak actor, moderator, singer-songwriter and one-time Slovak Gramy Award winner. Personal life Junas was born in Bratislava, Slovakia. His mother, Helen, was an opera singer, and his stepfather, Jan, was a singer and theater director. He emigrated to Canada before the Velvet Revolution, later returning to Slovakia, where he campaigned for political party Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) ahead of the 1999 Slovak presidential election. Junas was involved in a serious traffic incident in Bratislava in 1997, failing to yield at a stop sign and hitting a truck. He sustained a fractured skull and spent a month in hospital.
