Milan Panić
Milan Panić ( sr-Cyrl, Милан Панић, ; born 20 December 1929) is a Serbian businessman, humanitarian and former politician. He served as the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1992 to 1993. During and after his time as prime minister, he campaigned for peace and democracy in the Balkan region. He ran for President of Serbia in 1992, ultimately coming in second to Slobodan Milošević in an election marked by allegations of media and vote tampering by the ruling party. Panić became Prime Minister of Yugoslavia while an American citizen. Života Panić ( sr-cyr, Живота Панић; 3 November 1933 – 19 November 2003) was a Yugoslav military officer who served as the last acting Minister of Defense of Yugoslavia and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Yugoslavia. Biography Panić, who held the rank of General, was in charge of the Yugoslav People's Army after the resignation of General Blagoje Adžić in 1992. Panić was in office from 1992 until 1993 (in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) through the dissolution of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. In 1993, he was dismissed from his post for scandals relating to his son, Goran, who was supplying the army at supposed inflated prices. Panić graduated from Yugoslavian military school as a tank commander and gradually rose through the ranks of the Yugoslav People's Army through the 1970s and 1980s. Željko Panić (born May 5, 1976) is a Bosnian former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. Panić was born in Split, SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia, where he first started to train in swimming in 1987. While in Split, he was also coached and trained by Đurđica Bjedov, a two-time breaststroke gold medalist. In 1991, he moved to Banja Luka in SR Bosnia, where he became a resident swimmer for PK Borac Incel. Panic made his official debut at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where he competed in the men's 100 m freestyle. He touched out Venezuela's Francisco Sánchez to take the seventh spot and forty-ninth overall in the sixth heat by 0.03 of a second in 52.40. Romana Panić (; born 9 April 1975), better known just as Romana, is a Bosnian-Serbian singer. Arguably best known for her song "Samoodbrana", she saw most success in the early 2000s. Romana also took victory at the 2004 Sunčane Skale music festival in Herceg Novi, Montenegro.
