Panionios G.S.S. Thomas Mavros
Thomas Mavros (, born 31 May 1954) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a striker. Initially, a legend for Panionios, he was a relevation of the Greek championship at the age of 16. He became one of the leaders of AEK Athens and led them to huge success, during the 70's and 80's. Mavros is widely regarded as one of the best footballers in Greece having scored a record number of 260 goals in the Greek championship and played for the World XI in 1984. Nea Smyrni Stadium (''Greek (language), Greek: Στάδιο Νέας Σμύρνης'') is a multi-purpose stadium in Nea Smyrni, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium of Panionios FC, Panionios, which plays for the Gamma Ethniki. The all seated stadium holds 11,700 spectators and was built in 1939. Before full seating was installed in 1998 for the participation of Panionios in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup its capacity was close to 19,000. Nikos Anastopoulos (; born 22 January 1958) is a Greek former footballer and manager. He was one the most prolific strikers in the Greek league during the 1980s and is widely regarded as one of the best players in the history of Greek football. Anastopoulos began his career at Panionios in 1976, where he quickly became a high-profile player, winning the cup in 1979. Dimitris Saravakos (; born 26 July 1961), nicknamed "the Kid" (), is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a forward. Saravakos is widely considered to be one of the greatest Greek footballers of all time and a Panathinaikos legend. The IFFHS chose him in the best XI of all time of Greek football in 2021. Takis Fyssas (, born 12 June 1973) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a left back. After his retirement he served as the sporting director of the Greece national team. Pavlos Dermitzakis (; born 29 June 1969) is a Greek professional football manager and former player. Playing career Dermitzakis began his football career in Kavala, playing for amateur local side Vyron Kavala. In 1987, he was acquired by the city's most prestigious club Kavala, where he played for five years in both the second and third tiers of the Greek football league system, and scoring a total of 47 goals. In 1992, Dermitzakis joined Alpha Ethniki side PAOK, where he spent the next three years of his career.
