Panegialios F.C.
Panegialios ( (''Panegialios Gymnastics Club'', referring to Aigialeia, a subprefecture covering the northeastern part of Achaea) is a Association football, football club based in Aigio, Greece. Panegialios has a long tradition in Greek football championships and has several appearances in the Greek Super League (former A' Ethniki), 2nd Division and 3rd Division. Additionally the team has reached twice the semi-finals of the Greek Cup competition. Panegialios is one of the most successful and popular teams in Achaea and Peloponnese. History The club was founded on 25 February 1927 in Egio by local selected community members. The man who inspired the idea of the formation of a football club in Egio was Zisimos Livas. 2023–24 Gamma Ethniki
The 2023–24 Gamma Ethniki was the 42nd season since the official establishment of the championship in 1982 and the 3rd tier of Greek football after the restructuring of 2021. It has an amateur character, while the Hellenic Football Federation (HFF) is responsible for the conduct of the championship. The competition started on 17 September 2023 and concluded on 28 April 2024, and was conducted in four groups, in contrast to 2022–23 Gamma Ethniki, 2022–23 season, when it was conducted in five groups. 72 teams were participating and 30 of them were relegated at the end of the season. The groups were formed according to geographical criteria. Way of Conduct After all games of the four groups are played, the champion of each group will be promoted to Super League Greece 2, Super League 2. The Football League () was the second highest professional football league in Greece since its inception in 1962 as ''Beta Ethniki'' and until 2019. Michalis Kritikopoulos
Michalis Kritikopoulos (; 3 January 1946 – 20 July 2002) was a Greek professional footballer who played as a striker. Career Born in Kaisariani, Kritikopoulos began playing football as a striker for local side G.S. Kaisariani in 1962. In 1964, he joined Ethnikos Piraeus F.C., where he would play for nine seasons. In 1973, Kritikopoulos joined Olympiacos where he played until 1980, winning three Alpha Ethniki and one Greek Football Cup titles. He finished his career with Apollon Athens F.C., retiring in 1981 at age 35. All told, Kritikopoulos scored 175 league goals making him one of the league's all-time leading goal-scorers. Kostas Davourlis
Kostas Davourlis (, 4 January 1948 – 23 May 1992) born in Agyia, Patras, popularly nicknamed The Black Prince, was a former Greek footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. A gifted and talented player, he was voted by the Greek sports magazine "Ethnosport" as one of the 50 best Greek football players ever. Having gained fame in Greece as the creative playmaker for Panachaiki FC, Davourlis attracted even more attention during the 1973 season, when he helped his team become the first Greek countryside football club ever to qualify for a European competition (the 1974 UEFA Cup). Davourlis was famed for his technical ability, his ball skill, his creative passes and his powerful shot in or outside the box; furthermore, his leadership was exemplary. Nikos Alefantos
Nikos Alefantos (, 3 January 1939 – 23 June 2020) was a Greek professional footballer and football coach. He is regarded as one of the most innovative football managers of the 20th century, known in Greece for his phlegmatic personality, short temper and famous quips. He is often regarded as the greatest Greek manager never to have won one of the two major domestic titles ( Alpha Ethniki and Greek Cup). In his 35-year managerial career he managed 28 different teams, most notably Olympiacos (1983–84, 1994, 2004) and Iraklis, whom he guided from the relegation zone to a 4th place finish in 1985–86, after what was dubbed the "Play-off of Shame" in Greece. Kristen Viikmäe (born 10 February 1979) is an Estonian former professional footballer who played as a striker. He now plays beach soccer. Club career Born in Tallinn, Viikmäe started his career with FC Flora Tallinn, and has since played for Tallinna Jalgpallikool, Tallinna Sadam, Vålerenga, Enköpings SK, Fredrikstad, Gefle IF and Jönköpings Södra IF. January 2010 he moved to Panegialios F.C., a third division team in Greece. He left the club in September because of salary problems. In January 2011 he joined JK Nõmme Kalju. On 9 October 2012, he scored the winning goal in a 1–0 victory against FC Kuressaare, which secured JK Nõmme Kalju's first ever title. The 2018–19 Gamma Ethniki is the 36th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It start on 30 September 2018. This year 12 teams will be promoted. After the finish of the eight groups, the first team of each group will be promoted to Football League and then the 8 runner-up teams after draw will play two legs to determine which four teams will be promoted. 107 teams are divided into eight groups according to geographical criteria. The 2017–18 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football league system and the seventh season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. It will start at 28 October, Teams * 1 Acharnaikos was expelled during the season :1. Agrotikos Asteras withdrew from the league. As a result of this they will participate in 2017–18 Gamma Ethniki.
