Pandu is a locality in Guwahati with nearest airport at Guwahati Airport and railway station at Paltan Bazaar. It is named after Pandunath Temple located in Tilla hills part of locality. It is situated north of Maligaon locality and have Brahmaputra river to north. Maligaon
The headquarters of Northeast Frontier Railway and Northeast Frontier Railway Stadium is situated here. The place is also known for goddess Durga pandals. Brahmaputra River
The Brahmaputra is a trans-boundary river which flows through Tibet, northeast India, and Bangladesh. It is also known as the Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibetan, the Siang/Dihang River in Arunachali, Luit in Assamese, and Jamuna River in Bangla. It is the 9th largest river in the world by discharge, and the 15th longest. Beltola
Beltola is a prime residential area in the southern part of Guwahati, Assam. Mythical sources claimed that the word Beltola comes from the word Bilvapatra, which means leaves of Bael tree, used in religious ceremonies. It was said that in olden day's large quantities of Bael tree leaves were sent to Kamakhya Temple to be used in rituals. It was from that time the place is called as Beltola.
