Pan Wołodyjowski (film)
''Pan Wołodyjowski'', also translated as ''Colonel Wolodyjowski'', is a 1969 Polish historical drama film directed by Jerzy Hoffman. The film is based on the 1887 novel ''Pan Wołodyjowski'' by Polish writer and Nobel laureate Henryk Sienkiewicz. The story is set during the Ottoman Empire's invasion of Poland in 1668–1672. The film was entered in the 6th Moscow International Film Festival, where Tadeusz Łomnicki won the award for Best Actor. The film was also serialized on Polish television, as ''The Adventures of Pan Michael'' (Polish: ''Przygody pana Michała''). Jerzy Hoffman
Jerzy Julian Hoffman (; born 15 March 1932) is a Polish director, screenwriter, and producer. He received the Polish Academy Life Achievement Award in February 2006. Hoffman is best known for his works in ''The Deluge (film), The Deluge'' (1974) and ''With Fire and Sword (film), With Fire and Sword'' (1999), the former of which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His other notable credits were in ''Three Steps on Earth'' (1965) and ''Colonel Wolodyjowski (film), Colonel Wolodyjowski'' (1969). Hanka Bielicka
Anna Weronika Bielicka (9 November 1915 – 9 March 2006) was a Polish singer and actress, known by the name Hanna and its affectionate diminutive, Hanka. Life Hanka Bielicka was born in 1915 in Konovka near Poltava (''then part of the Russian Empire, now Ukraine''). After World War I, she moved to Łomża, where she lived until the beginning of World War II. Despite leaving, she remained very fond of the town and had a significant influence on its culture. The House of Lanckoroński (plural: Lanckorońscy) was an old and wealthy Polish aristocratic family. Its representatives held power and influence in the Kingdom of Poland from the times of the late Piast dynasty (14th century) to the end of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (18th century). Andrzej Tadeusz Szczepkowski (26 April 1923 – 31 January 1997) was a Polish actor. He appeared in more than 30 films and television shows between 1957 and 1997. Jan III Sobieski
John III Sobieski ( (); (); () 17 August 1629 – 17 June 1696) was King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1674 until his death in 1696.
