Pallacanestro Cantù, known for sponsorship reasons as Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù, is an Italian professional basketball club that is based in Cantù, Lombardy. On the European-wide club competition scene, Cantù is second to Real Madrid – against whom they have an 8–2 record – for European trophies won, with twelve titles (two EuroLeague, four FIBA Saporta Cups, four FIBA Korać Cups and also two FIBA Intercontinental Cups.), in addition to three domestic Italian Leagues and two Italian Supercups. History 1936–1969: Formation and early years The club was founded as Associazione Pallacanestro Cantù in 1936 with impetus from Mario Broggi and Angiolino Polli. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian basketball league system, Italian league pyramid, below the first division Lega Basket Serie A, LBA and above the third division Serie B Basket, Serie B, with promotion and relegation, promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the Federazione Italiana Pallacanestro, FIP, the Italian federation. Oransoda
Lemonsoda is a brand of Italian carbonated soft drinks created in the 1940s by Milan-based company Saga and currently owned by Royal Unibrew. History The original Lemonsoda flavor was lemon. Oransoda and Pelmosoda, orange and grapefruit-flavored sodas, were introduced in the following years. In 1980 the brand was sold to Crodo, which became part of the Campari Group in 1999. During the 2003/2004 season Lemonsoda was the official sponsor of Lecce football club. In 2005, a tonic water titled Tonicsoda was the first Lemonsoda product born under the Campari brand. In 2010, two new versions of traditional Lemonsoda were created: sugarless Lemonsoda Zero and the Mojitosoda, a non-alcoholic cocktail made with lemon juice and mint flavor, flavored like a mojito cocktail. Fabrizio Della Fiori (born 1 September 1951) is a retired professional basketball player from Italy. He was inducted into the Italian Basketball Hall of Fame, in 2014. Forst is an Italian brewing company, based in Forst (Italian: ''Foresta''), a ''frazione'' (municipal subdivision) of Algund (Italian: ''Lagundo''), South Tyrol. Pierluigi "Pierlo" Marzorati (born 12 September 1952) is an Italian former professional basketball player. During his playing career, he was nicknamed "L'ingegnere volante" ( EN: "The Flying Engineer"). He is considered to have been one of the best point guards of all time in Europe, and was named the Mister Europa, in 1976. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991. Arnaldo Taurisano
Arnaldo Taurisano (Milan, 18 November 1933 – Brescia, 7 May 2019) was an Italian professional basketball coach. In 2009, at the age of 76, he became member of the Italian Basketball Hall of Fame. His career He began his coaching career before reaching the thirties by the local clubs of Lombardy as ''Pavoniana Milano'' and ''Nuova Pallacanestro Vigevano''. In 1963 went north to the club of Pallacanestro Cantù as an assistant coach and heads of infrastructure departments. In 1965–66 season he had the first great opportunity to coach the men's section of Oransoda Cantù and led the team in the fifth place of Serie A with a 12–10 wins record.
